The title song Resistance is one of the most impressive pieces of the record’s first part: it offers a contagious tune on both verses and chorus, a harmonious sounding of the strong vocals and powerful accompaniment and an unusual interpretation of love. The album opens with the first single Uprising, in which the threat to the world can be heard – it is already impossible to imagine Muse without these themes. Love and world situation keep on inspiring Mathew in his songwriting, and he has revealed his inner world to a greater extent this time around. Each song on the album is different from the others with its own special message and meaning. Muse has been preparing the fans for The Resistance for quite some time but it was impossible to predict what a great collection would come out of it. Partially the album The Resistance reminds of its predecessor, but on the whole it is an utterly unique work offering songs that raise the trio on an absolutely new level. The point is that Muse has retained its best qualities on it such as amazing vocals, deeply thought lyrics and the musicians’ great playing and added something else to them. Yet their fifth album The Resistance surprised everybody. As a variant Mathew Bellamy and his friends could try something completely new, return to the very beginning of their creative work or continue the fantastic course taken on Black Holes & Revelations. This update will take some time as it basically means rewriting everything from scratch with a new framework and adding a lot of new functionality. After setting the database to read-only and hiding comments due to the DMCA notice as a first step to prevent further harm I have now decided to continue working on the project and re-enabling create, edit and delete functionality again in the future.
